Elite-PRP is currently being used in many different medical fields. PRP is a biological product defined as a percentage of the plasma fraction of autologous blood with a platelet concentration above baseline (prior to the centrifugation process). PRP not only contains a high amount of platelets, but a wide array of clotting factors. Elite-PRP is enriched by a series of growth factors, cytokines, chemokines, and other plasma pro-teins. PRP is extracted from the patient ‘s own blood and follows a centrifugation process (for 6 -9 minutes), resulting in the separation of different blood components; PRP, red blood cells, and PPP (Platelet Poor Plasma). PRP treatment has been used for many years in orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, cardiac surgery, urology, gynecology, and sports medicine.
